Dr. Felicia Mebane sits down with Dr. Sharon Alston, research professor in the Norfolk State University's School of Social Work. They discuss her education, training and background in social work. Dr. Alston's work focuses on social justice and she does a lot of work in public housing, with adolescents and people of African American decent.

Dr. Alston shares her insights on communities from working in other countries, adultification and the need for researcher to focus on the assets in our communities.
