with Kayla Steede Sailor

Dr. Felicia Mebane sits down with Kayla Steede Sailor, a Community Health Worker with Sentara Medical Group. A native of Hampton Roads, she works with residents in her community to offer resources and assistance related to health concerns. They discussed the training and certifications available for CHW's and how the CHW Alliance can come together to advocate for the community on issues like lack of affordable housing in their region. She explains the difference between what she does and the services of a social worker and how important Community Health Workers are to the overall well being of the people they serve.
